What a Kitchen Remodel Costs in Boca Raton

Two things move the price of a kitchen in Boca Raton, and they move independently of each other. The first is size, measured in linear feet of cabinetry, because that is what you can answer in thirty seconds without a tape measure and a designer. The second is whether the layout stays where it is. A large kitchen that keeps its plan is a bigger version of a simple job. A small kitchen that moves a wall, a sink or a circuit is a different job.

Under 20 linear feet · layout stays
Starts at $15,000
Usually lands between $15,000 and $24,000
21 to 35 feet · plan unchanged
Starts at $25,000
Lands between $25,000 and $42,000
Wall, plumbing or electrical moves
Starts at $42,000
Runs to $70,000 and beyond depending on how much of the house the new plan touches

Those floors are the price of the finished job, not the price of getting started. Every service we sell is executed complete: refacing is every door and every hinge, a countertop is the whole run, a remodel is the kitchen you cook in on the last day. We publish the floors so that the homeowner looking for two cabinet doors swapped knows before calling that we are not the company for it. That is the honest use of a starting price. The complete list of what we do, with the two questions that sort it down to one, is on kitchen remodeling services.

03 · Why us

Why Homeowners Here Call Us

The permit question gets answered first, not last. A Boca Raton mailing address does not tell anyone who issues the permit. Large parts of western Boca Raton sit in unincorporated Palm Beach County, where the county handles the application, the fees and the inspections instead of the City. The two run different portals and different schedules. We confirm which authority covers your address before a drawing is prepared, because a package built for the wrong jurisdiction costs weeks before a single cabinet is ordered.

We publish two timelines, not one. Total project time counts from signature: design, cabinet and countertop fabrication, permit review when it applies. Time in the home counts only the construction inside your house. Those are very different numbers and the second is the one you actually live through. A same-layout remodel is 3 to 6 weeks total and 2 to 3 weeks in the home. A layout change is 8 to 12 weeks total and 4 to 6 weeks in the home. Almost nobody in this market publishes the second number, because keeping it short takes sequencing: we do not begin demolition until the materials that drive the next phases are ready.

Two years on the installation labor, in writing. The terms come with the contract, so you see what is and is not covered before any work is scheduled.

Licensed, insured and bonded, with the number in the open. Certified General Contractor CGC1524886, which anyone can check in the Florida DBPR licensee search before signing anything. Certificates of insurance are available before work is scheduled, which matters here: most condo associations in Boca Raton will not open the service elevator without one naming the association.

A free in-home estimate, and an answer within 24 hours. No trip fee. We do not quote a full remodel over the phone, because dimensions, utilities, access and what is behind the drywall change the real scope, and a number given without those is a number that moves later.

04 · Process

How a Boca Raton Kitchen Project Runs

  1. The call. Address, kitchen type, roughly what you want to change and roughly what you want to spend. This is where we tell you if the project fits what we take. Answered within 24 hours.
  2. The in-home visit. We measure the run in linear feet, look at the utilities, check access, and ask who else has to approve the work. If it is a condo, that conversation starts here and not in week three.
  3. Scope and selections. Same layout or layout change gets decided here, which is what sets both the price band and the calendar. Cabinetry, countertops, lighting and storage get defined with real allowances rather than a placeholder number.
  4. The written proposal. Scope, price, what is included, what is not, the selections, the change order process and the warranty terms. You sign a document, not a range.
  5. Jurisdiction, permits and association approval. City or county gets confirmed for your address. Drawings, engineering and association paperwork get identified and priced before the project is approved, never discovered afterward.
  6. Ordering, then demolition. In that order. Cabinets and countertops are ordered and their lead times tracked, and demolition waits until the critical materials are staged. This one sequencing decision is what keeps your kitchen out of service for weeks instead of months.
  7. Completion and walkthrough. Punch list, final inspections where they apply, and the warranty handed over in writing.

05 · Coverage

Where We Work

We work in Boca Raton and in the cities around it: Delray Beach, Highland Beach, Sandalfoot Cove, Deerfield Beach, Parkland, Boynton Beach, Lighthouse Point and Pompano Beach. The price does not change with the city. What changes with the address is who has jurisdiction over the work.

That last point is worth more than it sounds. A property with a Boca Raton mailing address may sit inside City limits, inside the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, or in unincorporated Palm Beach County, and the City itself publishes a tool to determine which one applies to a given address. Our own office in the 33498 ZIP code sits in the unincorporated county, not in the City. We check the address before the paperwork, every time.

The other thing that changes by address is the building. A single family home on a quarter acre and a unit in a coastal building are the same kitchen and a completely different project. In a condo the schedule is partly set by the association: approved work hours, a certificate of insurance naming the building, a reserved and padded service elevator, delivery windows, debris rules and sometimes a renovation deposit. We collect all of it before the crew is scheduled, because a task that takes eight hours in a house can take two days when the work window is four hours and the elevator is booked.

Season matters here in a way it does not in most of the country. A good share of Boca Raton owners are away for part of the year, and many of them schedule demolition deliberately for the months they are gone, which is the least disruptive way to do this work if your calendar allows it. Two things to plan around. Those are the same months everyone else books, so cabinet and countertop lead times stretch and the start date has to be reserved earlier than you would expect. And some buildings set their own seasonal construction windows, which is a rule we read before committing to a start date rather than after. If you are thinking about next summer, the conversation is worth having this season.

06 · Accountability

Who Contracts the Work

Kitchen Remodeler Boca Raton was acquired by Gaven Constructions, a licensed Florida contractor. Gaven holds the license, carries the insurance, and issues every estimate and every invoice. That is worth saying plainly rather than leaving a homeowner to work out who is actually accountable for the job: one licensed company, one contract, one warranty.

What that structure buys you on site is that the trades are coordinated by the company you signed with. Cabinetry, countertops, the plumbing and electrical scope, permits when they apply, installation and the final walkthrough are one team's responsibility. You are not the general contractor of your own kitchen, which is the position most homeowners end up in when they hire the pieces separately.

Before any of that, there are four checks you can run on your own kitchen in about fifteen minutes, and they decide more about your project than any showroom visit will. They are laid out with the rest of our kitchen remodeler tips.

07 · Permits

Licensed, Insured, and Permitted in Boca Raton

Permit requirements come from the actual scope of work and from which authority covers the property, not from a rule of thumb. Plumbing, electrical, mechanical and structural alterations can each trigger their own application. In unincorporated Palm Beach County that goes through the county Building Division permit center; inside City limits it goes through the City's own system, with contractor registration and a notice of commencement on jobs above the value threshold.

We publish the process rather than the outcome. Any required permitting, drawings, engineering or design work is identified and priced before the project is approved. What we do not do is promise a permit timeline we do not control, or treat regulated plumbing and electrical work as cosmetic to avoid an application.

What Moves the Price of a Boca Raton Kitchen

Two things move the price of a kitchen here and they move independently of each other: how big the kitchen is, measured in linear feet of cabinetry, and whether the layout stays where it is. The video walks the three bands those two questions produce, and the two timelines we publish for each one: the total project time counted from signature, and the weeks a crew is actually inside your house.

08 · FAQ

Common Questions

What does a full kitchen remodel cost in Boca Raton, and what changes the number?

Two things move the price and they move independently: how big the kitchen is, measured in linear feet of cabinetry, and whether the layout stays where it is. A kitchen under 20 linear feet that keeps its layout starts at $15,000. A typical 21 to 35 foot kitchen, same layout, starts at $25,000 and usually lands between $25,000 and $42,000. Once a wall, the plumbing or the electrical has to move, the project starts at $42,000. The final number comes from measuring your kitchen, not from a phone call.

How long does a Boca Raton kitchen remodel take, and how long am I actually without a kitchen?

Those are two different numbers, and almost nobody publishes the second one. A same-layout remodel runs 3 to 6 weeks total, counting design, cabinet and countertop fabrication, and permit review when it applies. Of that, 2 to 3 weeks is construction inside your house. A layout change runs 8 to 12 weeks total and 4 to 6 weeks in the home. We do not start demolition until the materials that drive the next phases are ready, which is what keeps the second number shorter than the first.

Does a Boca Raton address mean the City issues my kitchen permit?

Not always, and it is the first thing we check. Parts of western Boca Raton sit in unincorporated Palm Beach County, where the county permit center handles the application instead of the City. The two use different portals, different forms and different inspection schedules. We confirm which authority covers your address before any drawings or applications are prepared, because getting it wrong costs weeks before a single cabinet is ordered.

What does my Boca Raton condo association need before demolition starts?

It varies by building, and the building controls more of your schedule than most owners expect. What usually comes up: written association approval, a certificate of insurance naming the association, approved work hours, a reserved and padded service elevator, delivery windows, debris removal rules, and sometimes a renovation deposit. We collect all of it before the crew is scheduled. A task that takes eight hours in a single family home can take two days when the work window is four hours and the elevator is booked.

Can I have my Boca Raton kitchen remodeled while I am away for the season?

Yes, and a good share of our projects run that way. Owners who leave for the summer often schedule demolition for the weeks they are gone. Two things to plan around: those are the months everyone else books, so cabinet and countertop lead times stretch, and some buildings set their own seasonal construction windows. We read your building's rules before committing to a start date rather than after.

Can the sink or the island be moved in an older Boca Raton kitchen?

Usually, but the honest answer depends on what is under the floor. In older homes the original drain often runs below the slab. Moving a sink six feet is not six feet of pipe: it means cutting concrete, exposing the line, checking its material and condition, and deciding whether to tie into it or replace the section. We verify the plumbing before pricing a layout change, so that discovery happens on paper instead of on day three of demolition.

Will my Boca Raton home's electrical handle a new kitchen?

A new kitchen asks more of the panel than the old one ever did. An induction range, a wall oven, a dishwasher, a wine refrigerator, island receptacles, under cabinet lighting and recessed fixtures all add load. The question is not whether your wiring is bad. It is whether the existing circuits and panel support the design you want. We check that before cabinets are ordered, and if additional circuits or a panel change are needed, they go into the scope and the price up front.

What does the labor warranty cover on a Boca Raton kitchen?

It covers our installation labor for two years from the day the project is finished. The written terms come with your contract, so you see exactly what is and is not covered before any work is scheduled.

Is $15,000 enough for a kitchen remodel in Boca Raton?

It is enough for a complete rebuild of a small kitchen, up to twenty linear feet of cabinetry, which is what most condo and villa kitchens here actually are. That figure covers cabinets, countertop, backsplash, demolition, disposal and installation, done whole rather than in pieces. Below it we are not the right company, and we would rather you knew that from this page than from a visit. If the cabinet boxes are still sound, refacing costs a good deal less and gets you a kitchen that looks new in days rather than weeks.

What is the most expensive part of a Boca Raton kitchen remodel?

Cabinetry, in almost every project, and it is also the longest lead time. Stone is usually second. But the line that decides which price band you are in is not a product at all: it is whether the layout moves. A kitchen that keeps its plan is a bigger or smaller version of the same job. Once a wall comes out, or the sink moves in a house built on a slab, the concrete has to be cut and trenched and the project changes category rather than just getting more expensive.

A kitchen is the one room in the house where a bad decision is in front of you every morning for fifteen years. It is worth twenty minutes with someone who will tell you what the job actually is.

Tell us what is wrong with the kitchen you have.

Send us the address and roughly what you are hoping to spend. We will tell you which level of work that lands in, whether your property is permitted by the City or by the county, and if the project lands below what we take, we will say so on the phone instead of after a visit.
